FNG is the project and construction manager for the City of Cedar Rapids Convention Complex. Our services include acquisition of 57,000sf of surrounding property, tenant relocation, demolition of all structures, right of way acquisition, construction of 130,000sf of new convention center space and renovations to the U.S. Cellular Center.  When the complex is completed in the spring of 2013, it will become the second largest convention complex in the State of Iowa. 

The convention complex facility will provide a new 46,000sf free span exhibit hall, 13,000sf ballroom, 5,000sf of meeting space, direct connection to the renovated 267 room DoubleTree by Hilton convention complex hotel and its 20,000sf of meeting space and joint management by Hilton Worldwide. 

The renovated U.S. Cellular Center will provide 8,600 seats for a broad variety of entertainment.  In addition, the arena’s 24,000sf free-span floor space will have a direct connection to the 46,000sf convention center exhibit to offer approximately 70,000sf of exhibit hall space.
